Alberoni Beach

Alberoni Beach, or Spiaggia degli Alberoni, is a serene and picturesque beach located on the island of Lido, near Venice, Italy. The beach is situated approximately three kilometers from the city in the village of Alberoni. It is easily accessible by various modes of transport such as bus, bicycle, or boat.

The natural characteristics of Alberoni Beach are a sight to behold. It offers an expansive stretch of fine sand backed by wind-swept dunes that overlook the Adriatic Sea. The beach is part of a WWF nature reserve, and thus, it boasts a diverse variety of unique flora and fauna. This includes bushes, tall grass, and other types of vegetation that provide ample privacy for beachgoers. At the southern end of Alberoni, the beach transitions into a naturist area where clothing is optional. This section is backed by a woodland and dunes, offering additional privacy for those who prefer to sunbathe nude.

Despite its popularity and proximity to Venice, Alberoni Beach is typically not crowded, offering visitors a peaceful and relaxing experience. Its warm and shallow waters are ideal for families with children, although visitors are advised that the water can sometimes contain algae and that boats are often anchored close to the beach.

In terms of amenities, Alberoni Beach offers a restaurant nearby that serves drinks and snacks. Additionally, for those interested in sports, the beach is home to the only 18-hole golf course in Venice. This golf course is conveniently protected from coastal breezes by the surrounding trees.
