The beach has red lights at night for the protection of these turtles and their nests. Visitors are urged to be careful not to disturb them. Occasionally, vendors can be found selling ice-cream on the beach. Despite the popularity of the beach, it is kept clean, although there is a call for visitors to help maintain this by not leaving trash around.
