Caló des Borgit

Caló des Borgit is a small, scenic beach located in the town of Santanyí, on the island of Mallorca, part of Spain's Balearic Islands. It is particularly known for its combination of sand and rocky terrain, with rocks being the more prominent feature. This beach extends over a length of 18 meters and spans a width of 15 meters, providing a quaint and intimate setting for beachgoers.

The natural beauty of Caló des Borgit is enhanced by the waves that come in from various directions, creating a captivating spectacle. However, the intensity of these waves may make the beach less suitable for young children or those who are not strong swimmers.

Despite its beauty, the beach does not provide any water sports activities, disabled access, or recommended scuba diving. There are also no restaurants located in the immediate vicinity. Therefore, visitors are advised to come prepared with their own food, drinks, and other necessities.

One of the most appealing aspects of Caló des Borgit is its tranquility, particularly during off-peak seasons such as April when the beach is less crowded. This allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the serene atmosphere and enjoy the stunning views of the cliffs and the sea without interruption.

There are two main ways to reach Caló des Borgit. Visitors can either walk from the nearby beach of s'Amarador, passing through Cala Mondragó, or drive to the small urbanization close to the beach. However, it's important to note that there is no designated parking area at the beach, so visitors who choose to drive will need to find street parking.

In addition to being a place for relaxation, Caló des Borgit is also a starting point for walking and trekking. A well-maintained path along the coast leads visitors to explore the surrounding areas, adding an adventurous aspect to the beach experience.
