Praia do Camarido

Praia do Camarido is a beautiful beach located in the municipality of Viana do Castelo, in Portugal. It is situated near the Pinhal de Camarido in Caminha and is part of the Carreço parish. This beach is not just an average beach, but a combination of beach and mountain, offering a picturesque setting that is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is notable for its extensive stretch of sand, which is characterized by the constant presence of rocks along the water line, particularly in the central area. This area, directly in front of the main support parking lot, is often the most desirable for bathing, despite its rocky nature. For those who prefer a more swim-friendly environment, another beach is located just a short 200-meter walk away. One of the most striking features of Praia do Camarido is its dune system. This natural feature boasts a considerable elevation and is preserved with the help of a wooden pedestrian walkway.
