Plage de Canetto, often known as Canettu Beach, is a serene and picturesque beach located in the southern region of Bonifacio, Corsica. When the wind comes from the west, it can result in sand and dry sea grass being scattered across the beach. Despite this, it is considered a good place for children.

However, it is important to note that there are no services available at the beach, which contributes to its charm. The beach is not typically crowded, even during the summer months.

To reach Plage de Canetto, visitors need to drive approximately 10 minutes from Bonifacio, following the road towards Porto-Vecchio and then Canetto. The beach can be accessed via a small dirt path, which can be prone to flooding in May. Visitors can park their vehicles at a small parking area near the beginning of the dirt road. From there, it's a short walk to the beach. However, the road to the beach is quite bumpy and requires good driving skills.

Despite the challenging access, Plage de Canetto offers a unique experience due to its hidden location. It is a place where visitors can immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Corsica, offering a secluded and peaceful escape. The best time to visit Plage de Canetto is in the morning to enjoy the wild and secluded atmosphere before it becomes more crowded throughout the day.
