Plaża Centralna

Plaża Centralna is a popular beach located in the seaside city of Kolobrzeg, Poland, along Bulwar Szymańskiego. Renowned for its wide expanse of fine, soft sand and clear waters, it is one of the broadest beaches on the Baltic Sea and a favored destination for both locals and tourists. The beach's inviting environment is maintained through its cleanliness and the refreshing quality of its waters.

The beach is easily accessible, with a total of seven entrances leading to it, the most common of which is entrance number 20. Once on the beach, visitors can enjoy the vibrant and colorful atmosphere, particularly during the summer when the beach and its promenade bustle with activity. A variety of amenities line the coast, including numerous restaurants, cafes, bars, food stalls, souvenir shops, and toy stores for children.

Notably, the beach features a 220-meter-long pier extending into the sea, offering changing rooms, toilets, bars, and a beach chair rental service. The pier is a significant attraction, as are the wooden breakwaters along the coast, which provide a habitat for roosting sea birds and a charming backdrop for photos. To the east of the pier, visitors can rent classic 30s/40s beach chairs for a quieter and more nostalgic beach experience.

During the summer season, Plaża Centralna is committed to accessibility, providing ramps for wheelchairs and special amphibious vehicles that allow non-ambulatory individuals to enjoy the sea. These vehicles are available for use from July 1st to August 31st, for up to 60 minutes with a caregiver. However, it should be noted that dogs are not permitted on the beach during the summer season.

Despite its popularity, Plaża Centralna maintains a relaxed vacation atmosphere throughout the year, making it a worthwhile visit in all seasons, although the Baltic Sea can be somewhat cold outside of the summer months. The beach also offers parking facilities for visitors, contributing to its convenience and appeal.
