Chaosamran Beach

Chaosamran Beach is a renowned tourist attraction located in Haad Chao Samran, Phetchaburi Province, Thailand, approximately 15 kilometers away from Phetchaburi town. The beach, stretching for about 7 kilometers, is celebrated for its scenic beauty and tranquil ambiance. It is particularly peaceful during weekdays, making it a favored spot among the locals.

The beach has been a significant tourist site for many years and was even visited by King Naresuan the Great. During the reign of King Rama VI, a royal camp named "Bang Luang Camp" was established at the beach. Following the king's illness, it was renamed "Pratumnak Beach Hat". The palace was subsequently relocated near the village, resulting in the beach being referred to as Chao Samran Beach.

One of the distinctive natural features of Chaosamran Beach is its abundant marine life, including a variety of shellfish and jellyfish. There is also a possibility of spotting whales, adding to the excitement for visitors. The beach is characteristically well-maintained and clean, with very fine sand enhancing its natural allure.

In terms of amenities, Chaosamran Beach is equipped with convenience stores and a fishing village in the vicinity. It also offers mat rentals for visitors who might need them. The beach is family-friendly, ensuring children's safety with supervision. For dining options, there are numerous small food vendors surrounding the beach, providing a range of local dishes at budget-friendly prices.

To get to Chaosamran Beach, visitors can either take Highway 3177 through Petchaburi Rajabhat Institute for about 13 kilometers or opt for a bus or minibus from downtown to the beach. Convenient parking is available near Krung Thai Bank, Wat Pho Road, close to the clock tower. However, visitors are advised to be cautious of dogs during the night.
