Playa del Cura

Playa del Cura is a tranquil sandy beach nestled in the popular tourist municipality of Mogán, renowned for its sun and beach tourism. The beach is highly regarded for its cleanliness and is not typically crowded, thus providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors and making it particularly suitable for families.

The beach's location between Mogán and Puerto Rico lends itself to a serene and quiet environment, perfect for a relaxing holiday. It is characterized by its black sand and is sheltered from the wind, enhancing its natural beauty and the comfort of beach-goers.

For food and beverages, there is a Spar convenience store nearby, and the surrounding area is filled with cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops.

Reaching Playa del Cura is straightforward. From the capital city, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, one can drive along the coast until reaching the entrance of Arguineguín and follow the inland road to Mogán, a journey that takes approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Alternatively, bus service line 91 offers a connection from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Playa del Cura, with a travel time of around fifty minutes.

Beyond the beach, the municipality of Mogán offers other attractions. Visitors can explore other beaches, visit the Puerto de Mogán for shopping opportunities, and sample traditional Canarian dishes from local eateries. The weekly markets in Arguineguín and Mogán also offer a variety of items for purchase at affordable prices.
