Fairlight Glen

Fairlight Glen is a beach located in Sussex, UK that is secluded and narrow with shingle. However, the surf hides rocks that can make swimming potentially hazardous, and there is no lifeguard service available. Access to the beach can be difficult due to a steep and hazardous path from the closest car park, although recent measures have been taken to make it easier.

The beach is situated near a nature reserve that is home to various wildflowers and bird species. Naturism is established on the beach, with naturists being the majority as you move further East from the access path. Nevertheless, both naturist and non-naturist visitors frequent the beach.

Although there are several car parks adjacent to the beach, it has had access problems in the past due to coastal erosion.

Visitor Reviews

Visitor reviews highlight the beautiful scenery and remote, wild location of Fairlight Glen beach, which is similar to some Mediterranean beaches. The walk to the beach is enjoyable, but visitors should be aware of the steep and rocky path. Clothing is optional on the beach, and visitors should bring their own food and drink. Some visitors note that the beach may not be safe and is not sandy.
