Gomati Beach

Gomati Beach is a long, sandy beach known for its desolate beauty and clean, shallow waters. The beach is characterized by its natural scenery, including wildflowers and small rock formations in the water. An old, ruined tank from World War II overlooks the bay, adding a unique historical element to the landscape. The beach is also home to a single snack bar and offers amenities such as umbrellas, sun loungers, showers, and toilets. Despite its remote location, the beach is organized and typically not crowded, offering visitors a sense of solitude.

The beach is located near the Gomati sand dunes, a notable natural feature in the area. It is accessible via a dirt road, which can be navigated with small cars. However, the road is not fully covered by asphalt, making the journey somewhat challenging. There is a parking lot available for visitors who drive to the beach.

Gomati Beach is also known for its environmental consciousness. Visitors are encouraged to collect their own rubbish and pick up additional litter around them to help keep the beach clean. The island has recycling bins almost everywhere, promoting recycling among its visitors.

The beach's location, open to North - North East winds, makes it an excellent spot for wind or kite surfing. Its shallow waters and general safety also make it suitable for children. Visitors are allowed to bring their own umbrellas, and nudism is permitted on the beach.
