Hotel Pelirocco Brighton

FEATURED STAYS NEAR BEST BEACHES

Brighton is a city of vibrant contrasts, where the quirky energy of North Laine, reminiscent of London’s Soho, meets the classic charm of Brighton Beach and the iconic pier. It’s a place where the unexpected and the traditional coexist seamlessly, earning it the fitting title of "London by the Sea."

Just a two-minute stroll from Brighton Beach, Hotel Pelirocco is a microcosm of this very spirit, offering 19 rock ‘n’ roll-themed rooms. Among them, you’ll find a David Bowie room, a Star Wars-themed space, and a suite called Taboo, designed to be "naughty but nice". The corridors are adorned with hundreds of unusual artworks.

For our first night, we chose the hotel’s flagship ‘Botanica’ suite, nestled on the lower ground floor with its own private entrance and secluded courtyard. The suite offered a round bed, mirrored ceiling, and a dancing pole, perfect for a couple's "dirty" getaway, all set against a hand-painted forest mural. Before bed, we took full advantage of the spacious botanical bathroom, enjoying a relaxing bath. The next morning, we indulged in a full English breakfast paired with a bottle of house Champagne, adding a luxurious touch to our stay.

For our second night, we moved to the 'Koibito Love' room, where the striking interior featured a Japanese Geisha graffiti wall, elegant Victorian coving, and a large bay window that filled the space with natural light. Before bed, we enjoyed a relaxing soak in the deep square bath, followed by a restful night on the raised bamboo platform bed, which added a touch of Zen to the room. The next morning, we had breakfast on the balcony overlooking a classic Victorian square with the sea just beyond it. Instead of Champagne, we opted for the hotel’s signature Bloody Marys, adding a savoury start to our day.

As our stay at Hotel Pelirocco ended, we couldn’t resist one last stop at the lively ground-floor bar, a space just as eclectic as the rooms. The friendly staff, with their laid-back vibe, made it a nice way to wrap up our stay.

After checking out, we walked to Brighton Beach, reflecting on how the rooms, though wildly different, are tied together by their diversity, perfectly capturing Brighton’s vibrant, free-spirited vibe.
