Imġiebaħ Beach

Imġiebaħ Beach, located in Mellieha, Malta, is a beautiful and secluded beach known for its dark sand and crystal clear waters. The beach is not typically crowded, providing a peaceful and serene environment for visitors. It is home to a diverse marine life, offering excellent opportunities for snorkelling with colourful fish and jellyfish. The beach is small and discrete, making it a favourite among locals and tourists who prefer less crowded places. It is accessible by foot, with a walk down from Mellieha taking about 20 minutes. The return journey uphill takes approximately half an hour. It is also possible to reach the beach by boat or canoe. The road leading to the beach is narrow and challenging to navigate, especially for inexperienced drivers. There are only two parking bays available at the bottom of the hill. Therefore, visitors are advised to walk or use a small car for the journey. There are no facilities or local shops in the vicinity of the beach, so visitors are advised to bring their own food and drink. It is recommended to carry at least two litres of water per person due to the lack of wind draft. Despite the lack of amenities, the natural beauty and tranquillity of Imġiebaħ Beach make it a unique and worthwhile destination.
