Playa de Levante

Playa de Levante is a picturesque beach situated in the town of Santa Susanna in the Maresme region. Spanning a distance of 815 meters, this beach is unique for its pebbly composition rather than the usual sandy texture, which contributes to its distinctive allure. This particular feature, however, necessitates appropriate footwear for beachgoers due to the stony terrain.

The beach extends far into the horizon, giving the illusion that nothing else exists beyond the water, presenting a truly captivating vista. Despite its natural beauty and unique characteristics, the beach maintains a relaxed ambiance, making it an ideal spot for a low-cost getaway.

Playa de Levante offers a range of services and amenities for its visitors. Facilities such as beds and umbrellas are available for use during your visit. Additionally, the beach provides disabled access, toilets, and parking facilities. A special feature of the beach is the provision of an amphibious chair to aid people with reduced mobility.

However, visitors should exercise caution, especially those with children, as the water bottom is quite steep. For those requiring support with bathing, reservations can be made available from July 1st to September 11th, between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm.

Despite offering a multitude of amenities, it is important to note that due to drought conditions, the showers and foot washers on the beach may be temporarily closed. Access to Playa de Levante can be achieved easily, but the beach can get crowded during peak seasons.
