Nudist Beach

Nudist Beach, also known as Vama Veche, is a unique beach located near Mangalia. It is a mixed place, catering to both nudist and non-nudist visitors. The beach line stretches approximately 800 to 1,000 meters. Parking is available near the police station, which serves as a landmark to the beach. From the parking area, a short one-minute walk leads to the beach. The beach is known for its natural characteristics. The "sand" is primarily composed of crushed sea shells, which are resistant to the sun and do not burn the feet. The beach is also home to a public library, a rare feature for a beach, where visitors can borrow books in English or Romanian to read while enjoying the sun. Amenities on the beach include sanitary facilities and food and drink options. Despite its popularity, especially during the season, it manages to avoid the mass-tourism feel of many Western European beaches. However, it has been noted that the nudist section of the beach seems to be shrinking over the years. The beach is not as crowded as other places in Vama Veche, and the atmosphere is generally relaxed and welcoming. The sea is also described as 'chill', adding to the overall tranquility of the place. The beach is also known for its good food, which is reasonably priced.
