Platja de la Pineda

Platja de la Pineda, also known as Playa Platja la Pineda, is a picturesque beach nestled in the town of Vila-seca, in the province of Tarragona, Spain. It's a cherished destination for beach-goers, particularly popular among families and the elderly, owing to its natural beauty characterized by golden sands and clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

The beach is renowned for its distinct views of the sunrise, and the mesmerizing lunar path that can be seen in the evening. However, visitors should be aware that the beach also offers a view of the industrial area and port of Tarragona, which includes tankers and pipes.

While the beach itself lacks public toilets and changing rooms, there are cafes situated on the beach that offer limited toilet facilities. These facilities, though, may not be regularly cleaned. It is often suggested that visitors use the facilities at the restaurants located on the promenade, but this can be somewhat inconvenient as it involves a 20-minute walk and necessitates a purchase.

In terms of attractions and activities, the beach is not just a place for lounging and swimming. Nearby, there is the historical Castell de Vila-seca, a castle that hosts exhibitions and is open to the public for exploration. The beach is also close to the Séquia Major, a preserved natural space that showcases the original vegetation and fauna of the Mediterranean coast.
