Do Son Beach

Do Son Beach is a popular destination located in the northern region of Vietnam, specifically in the city of Hải Phòng. It is set on the Do Son peninsula, which extends along the coast between the mouths of the Cam and Van Uc rivers. The beach is recognized for its 2,450 meters of coastline, covered in fine sand and bordered by picturesque mountains and pine hills. While it may not share the same striking visuals as some of the southern beaches, its unique charm has made it a favored spot for locals looking for a seaside escape.

Historically, Do Son Beach served as a summer retreat for the French expatriate community and the Vietnamese upper class. Today, it is primarily frequented by local tourists during the summer months. However, from August to April, the beach often reverts back to its original tranquil beauty, offering a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

The beach is not only known for its natural beauty but also for its favorable salt levels in the water, which are suitable for swimming and can protect the skin from sunburn even at midday. Besides swimming and engaging in water sports, visitors can also enjoy fresh seafood, which is readily available at the beach.

The beach also offers a variety of amenities to cater to the needs of its visitors. These include numerous restaurants and storage facilities where visitors can store their belongings and shower after swimming. Despite its tranquility, it's worth noting that the beach is also known for its loud karaoke music, which some visitors may find disruptive.
