Plage de Sorlock

Plage de Sorlock, located in Mesquer, Loire-Atlantique, in the Pays de la Loire region of France, is a picturesque beach known for its serene environment and beautiful natural surroundings. It is found in the northern part of the resort area, close to the Merquel point and the entrance of the Traict de Mesquer / Pen Bé.

The beach is characterized by its fine sandy texture, creating a pleasant experience for visitors. The area is divided into several zones, with the primary beach area situated in the south. This section houses a sailing center and a lifeguard station equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility. The northern part of the beach features some rocks that reduce its width and form small coves. These coves are particularly attractive for windsurfing enthusiasts.

Plage de Sorlock is surrounded by trees, offering an ideal spot for picnics and other leisure activities. In addition, a coastal path enhances the overall tranquil and calming atmosphere of the area, making it more than just a beach, but a destination where one can truly appreciate the beauty of nature.

During the summer months, Plage de Sorlock tends to get crowded, particularly in August. Despite its popularity, the beach provides ample parking facilities within 200 meters of the beach. However, due to the high influx of visitors in peak season, the car park often becomes full in the afternoons. As such, visitors are advised to arrive in the morning to secure parking or be prepared for a short walk.
