Sugar Beach

Sugar Beach is a long stretch of pristine beach known for its powder-fine, sugar-like sand and crystal-clear waters. The beach is ideal for a relaxing swim or simply watching the sunset.

Despite its natural beauty, the beach's marine life has suffered due to past overfishing practices, particularly the use of dynamite. As a result, the once thriving reef in the area has been destroyed. While these practices have since been banned, the damage has already been done, leaving only starfish and some small fish to observe while snorkeling.

Despite this, the beach remains a beautiful and peaceful location, not overly crowded with tourists, making it a great place for relaxation and swimming.

Visitor Reviews

Visitor reviews highlight the beach's long stretch of pristine, powder-fine sand and crystal-clear waters as ideal for relaxation, swimming, and sunset watching. The beach's cleanliness, peacefulness, and lack of overcrowding are also frequently praised. However, visitors express disappointment over the destruction of the once thriving reef and the consequent lack of marine life to observe while snorkeling.
