Survival Beach

Survival Beach is a picturesque location in Puerto Rico, known for its natural beauty and seclusion. The beach is not directly accessible, and reaching it requires a hike from Surfers Beach, which takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Alternatively, it can be reached by a long walk along the beach from the north. The area around the Survival Beach stairs is blocked off by the coast guard, making these the only two routes to the beach.

The beach is characterized by its rocky terrain, which makes it a popular spot for surfers, but less suitable for swimming or bathing due to the rocks and reef. Despite its rugged nature, the beach is a beautiful spot, perfect for watching the sunset or simply relaxing. It is also a popular location for photography due to its unique appearance compared to other beaches in Puerto Rico.

The road leading to the beach park is known to have large potholes, which can be difficult to navigate with a small, low-to-ground vehicle. Parking is available at Surfers Beach, from where the hike to Survival Beach begins. Visitors should be aware of the potential for a challenging journey, both due to the hike and the road conditions. Despite these challenges, the beach's beauty and tranquility make it a worthwhile destination.
