The trail follows a small path next to a via ferrata, a form of protected climbing route, crosses a bridge with a view of the waterfall and climbers, and then continues uphill before looping back to the parking area. Visitors can rent climbing equipment on-site if they want to attempt the via ferrata.

The Talbach Wasserfall can also be reached by walking along the Zillerpromenade from Zillerbrücke to the Auffahrt Zellberg. From there, visitors can continue along Zellbergstraße until the second bend or alternatively, take the Eugenweg. At House Zellberg 110, a forest path leads to the waterfall.

The path to the waterfall is secured with railings and wooden flooring, making it a safe journey for visitors. There is a small platform from where visitors can enjoy a great view of the waterfall and the surrounding mountains. However, the trail is not suitable for strollers due to the presence of stairs and sections with roots. Therefore, sturdy shoes are recommended, especially in wet conditions.
