Syki Bay

Syki Bay is a tranquil beach located in Corfu, often described as a paradise on earth. The beach is known for its crystal clear waters and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for those seeking tranquility. The beach is not very populated, adding to its serene ambiance.

The natural characteristics of Syki Bay are one of its main attractions. The beach is almost 'wild', with no sand but rocks. The shore is quite sloped for a dozen of meters into the water, making it a safe place for children to swim. The bay is surrounded by trees that provide plenty of shade, eliminating the need for sun-shade umbrellas. However, beach loungers are available for rent for those who prefer them.

Syki Bay is a hotspot for snorkeling, with a diverse marine life that includes at least 10 different species of fish, sea urchins, sea stars, and black and white corals. Visitors are advised to bring 'coral shoes' to avoid any discomfort from the underwater pebbles.

In terms of amenities, the beach is somewhat lacking. There are not many coffee shops or toilets nearby. However, there is a beach bar a short walk up the hill. There is also a tavern close to the beach.

Parking at Syki Bay is not specially designated. Visitors can park their cars on the wide side-space of the road, but they should be careful when getting off and back on the road due to the high 'jump' that could potentially strike the bottom of the car.

To get to Syki Bay, visitors can simply follow the road that leads to the beach. However, they should be prepared for a short walk up the hill to reach the beach bar and other amenities.
