Zagreb Beaches

Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is not known for its beaches. Located inland, the city does not have a coast, and therefore does not have the sandy shores that many beach-goers crave. However, this does not mean that there are no options for those looking to soak up the sun in the city.

One option is Jarun Lake, located just a short distance from the city center. The lake, which is popular for swimming, has a number of man-made beaches with deck chairs and umbrellas available for rent.

Another option for beach-goers in Zagreb is Bundek, a man-made lake located in the city's Novi Zagreb district. The beach at Bundek is a bit smaller than those at Jarun Lake, but it is still a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.

If you're looking for a more traditional beach experience, there are a number of options within driving distance of the city. The Croatian coast, which is just a few hours away, is home to a number of beautiful sandy beaches, and is a popular destination for those living in or visiting Zagreb.
